Since Apex Legends' release, the game has pit players against each other in teams of three. You fall to the battleground together, win together, and lose together. Not everyone is a fan of that kind of multiplayer however and many fans have requested that Respawn at least offer a mode for single players, much like other battle royale games. A new time-limited event will give those fans a taste of what they've been asking for.
Apex Legends' Iron Crown Collection Event begins next week and will feature a game's first Solos mode for a limited-time.
Next week, only one can reign. 👑

Announced by Apex Legends on Twitter, the Iron Crown Collection Event will run from August 13- August 27 and teases that "Only one can wear the crown."
Respawn has added modes that proved popular to the main game before. Ranked mode, which was a side-activity during Bloodhound's event in June, was then added to the game when the second season rolled around. Should solos work out, I expect the new mode will follow suit.
Also Season 2 has seen Kings Canyon change and the large beasts known as Leviathans now roam the map, and the addition of the 10th Legend - Wattson.
Apex Legends is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
