Nintendo released the first ever Game Boy in North America on July 31, 1989 making today it's 30th anniversary

Many fans accross the world have been reminiscing about its impact on the industry. The number of amazing games, and its indestructibility, to this day, my Game Boy still runs perfectly. Nintendo of America has already started celebrating the anniversary, and even the National Museum of American History joined in the celebration.

The Game Boy had some of the best games of it's time. Some of the bigggest titles include, Super Mario Land, Tetris, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, The Legend of Zelda: Link;s Awakening, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Red and Metroid II: Return of Samus.

While perhaps best known for its games, Game Boy earned its reputation for being damn near indestructible, with an extra long battery life supported by four AA batteries. One even made it on to Ripley's Believe It or Not! for surviving the Gulf War bombing!

What some fans really want are Game Boy games on The Nintendo Switch, or even a Game Boy Classic akin to the NES Classic and SNES Classic mini-consoles Nintendo has released over the last few years.
