Brandon Routh, currently playing as Ray Palmer/The Atom on DC'S Legends of Tomorrow is set to play Superman again for Arrowverse's 2019 crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths.

In 2006, Routh got the role as he played the second big-screen Man of Steel. He was the star of Bryan Singer's Superman Returns, but the film did not become the hit many imagined it would be.

Tyler Hoechlin who plays Superman in the Arrowverse, will return as well. Both Routh and Hoechlin will assume the role of Superman in different time frames.Routh will also still play The Atom in the crossover.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will bring together the Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman for a five-episode order. The crossover will premiere in December with three episodes and two episodes in January.

Brandon Routh teased the research he's doing with this Instagram post:
