Twilight star Robert Pattison will be the latest person to portray one of the most iconic superheroes in the world in Matt Reeves' The Batman. In a new inteview with Today, Pattinson has been asked about the The Batman, the actor says that Batman doesn't count as a superhero because he lacks superpowers.
“Batman’s not a superhero. It doesn’t count. You need to have, like, magical powers to be a superhero.”
Pattinson also said something the same in an interview with The New York Times.
"Batman’s not a hero, though. He’s a complicated character," Pattinson added. "I don’t think I could ever play a real hero—there’s always got to be something a little bit wrong. I think it’s because one of my eyes is smaller than the other one."
Some fans will likely be angry about Pattinson's definition of a superhero, and some MCU superheroes also don't have superpowers.
The Batman cast includes Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Paul Dano as Edward Nygma a.k.a The Riddler, John Turturro as Camine Falcone, Jayme Lawson for an unknown role and it will be directed by Matt Reeves. The Batman wil premiere in theaters on June 25, 2021.
