Robert Pattinson Hopes The Batman Fame Won't Be as Bad as Twilight

Fans were shocked when Robert Pattinson was announced as the next Dark Knight. Pattinson immediately accepted the role when it was offered to him. The Twilight Saga grossed more than $3 billion accross the five movies which was he famously played the vampire Edward Cullen. Pattinson personally doubts that The Batman will be the same level as the Twilight fever.

“There’s a part of me that just thinks it’s impossible to kind of be [on the level of] what happened with Twilight, because it was just sort of so sudden,” Pattinson said in an inteview with The TODAY Show when asked if he might be wary about stepping back into another franchise role. “And now I’m kind of… I don’t know, I’m hoping it won’t be people hanging outside my place [laughs]. I just think I’m kind of boring and old now, so it’s fine.”

The Batman cast includes Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Paul Dano as Edward Nygma a.k.a The Riddler, John Turturro as Camine Falcone, Jayme Lawson for an unknown role and it will be directed by Matt Reeves.

The production of the film is set to begin on January in UK. The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
