Stranger Things star David Harbour will officially be part of the MCU as Alexei Shostakov a.k.a Red Guardian, a Russian superhero. Artist BritEdit created a fan art showing David Harbour suited as Red Guardian, similar to Captain America suit but instead of blue and white, it's scarlet and black with his red and silver shield. Red Guardian is often compared to Captain America, his shield is not durable as Captain America's shield. Check out the fan art below.

Cant even lie I'm so hyped to see @dkharbour in Black Widow! - - - - #disneyplus #jamesnorton #emmyrossum #blade #moonknight #shehulk #inhumans #mcu #marvel #phase5 #spiderman #tomholland #disney #robertdowneyjr #chrisevans #captainamerica #ironman #disney+ #strangerthings4 #strangerthings #strangerthings3 #daredevil #mattmurdock #charliecox #vindiesel #davidharbour
Harbour teased his character."That's one of the things I really like about this character," Harbour said. "There's an openness to interpretation. The one thing we do is know is that he's the counterpart to Captain America on the Russian Soviet side, but that way we have a lot of play with who he is and we are playing with him."
Harbour added, "Initially when I heard the pitch she (director Cate Shortland) was like 'He's this and he's this.' And I was like 'Yeah, I got it.'...he spins and he twists and he turns in ways that make sense and in ways I don't expect characters to go there. I expect characters to be a color or a flavor and we get to know them and this guy is really rich."
David Harbour will debut as Red Guardian in Black Widow on May 1, 2020.
